To know in order to recognize
Violence in relationships is commonly seen as something distant from the world of young people. The truth, however, is that the phenomena of violence are often present from the first relational experiences: the difficulty lies in recognizing them, because there are many violent situations that we cannot identify as such and that we consider acceptable or normal.
The Step 4 Young project shows some of the most common forms of violence in relationships between young people: jealousy, possession and control in the relationship, situations in which consent has not been explicitly given and cases of sharing multimedia contents of a sexual or erotic nature without the consent of who is portrayed (so-called revenge porn).
